Keizer Iris Run schedule is a perfect venue for runners and walkers of all levels. This two day schedule of races is family friendly and also challenging for the serious participant. The town of Keizer, Oregon is in full swing with their hometown festival, complete with a parade, beer garden, carnival, and more! Plan a weekend to stay or enjoy each day.
MAY 17th – Willamette Valley Marathon, Half & 10K
WILLAMETTE VALLEY MARATHON – Our featured run is the diamond in the ruff of a growing marathon schedule held in the USA. The Boston Marathon qualifier course is on the first leg of the Willamette Valley Scenic Bike way. Oregon’s prime agriculture fields line the road way with hop fields, irises, and more. The usually mild spring climate in Oregon’s Willamette Valley is a runners dream. REGISTER HERE
KEIZER HALF MARATHON & 10k – In one fashion or another, these courses have pleased and challenged runners since 1979 when a sponsored by Blue Ribbon Sports now known as Nike. The old ten mile course is incorporated without the grueling suicide hill. Both the Half and 10k are US Track & Field certified as with the Marathon on the same out and back route. REGISTER HERE

MAY 16th – Iris Parade 5K & 3K
IRIS PARADE 5k & 3k -Saturday’s courses are closed to cars and lined with pre-parade spectators cheering you on. Kids will be treated to a Mascot Dance Party during their pre-race warm-up. On Sunday, participants will experience a safe open course along the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway. Views of iris’ in colorful blooms, hop fields, and what is growing on Oregon’s finest soils will be taken in as you run the course. REGISTER HERE
KIDZ 3K & MASCOT PARTY SPONSORED BY
Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive an iris, a token medal for the 3K/5K, a medal for the Full/Half/10K, and warm congratulations. Marathon finishers will receive a special Finisher shirt.
Be sure to enjoy the post race party in the Keizerfest tent race with a pancake breakfast and glass of Willamette Valley’s Craft Beer or wine (must be over 21). On going awards and live results will be celebrated and announced.

Age Groups of: (0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 70+)
First, Second, & Third place certificates for both male and female divisions will be emailed to participants in each race.

I’M NOT SURE I CAN RUN THE ENTIRE DISTANCE IN THE EVENT I ENTERED. CAN I SLOW DOWN OR WALK, IF NECESSARY?
Yes. Running and walking to complete a distance is OK. In fact, mixing walking with running is a great way to improve your conditioning. Many participants walk portions of the routes.
But, if you want to walk an entire distance, then you must keep a 16 minute per mile pace for the Marathon, a 27 minute pace for the Half, a 45 minute pace for the 10k, 5k, and 3k due to courses closing.
WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY BIB NUMBER/CHIP?
Pre-Packet Pick-up is scheduled for the day before each of the races at the Sports & Fitness Expo Tent located at the Keizer Iris Festival Fun Center from 9am to 8am.
Unclaimed packets can still be picked up on “Day of Race” at the Start/Check-in area
CAN I HAVE SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY BIB NUMBER/CHIP?
Yes. Whoever you designate to pick up your packet must do so at the Bib Packet Pick Up area at the Keizer Chamber of Commerce at the dates above.
CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES ON THE COURSE OF THE IRIS RUN?
Yes. But, please stay alert. Streets are fully closed for 3k and 5k to vehicle traffic, except for the possibility of an emergency vehicles. The Full/Half Marathon and 10K course is rated safe, however will remain open to traffic.
CAN I RUN WITH A BABY JOGGER OR STROLLER?
Running with a baby jogger or a stroller is permitted.
CAN I RUN OR WALK WITH MY DOG AT THE IRIS RUNS?
Dogs are NOT Allowed in any of the runs. We do have a pet friendly event on Saturday if you would like to bring “Fido” for a special walk.
AFTER PARTIES IN TENT (4100 Cherry Ave NE)-
Join up with family, friends, and other runners/walkers at the Keizerfest Tent for the After Party. For those over twenty-one, a Willamette Valley Brewed Craft Breweries will be offering tastings as well as your Bib “Tear-off Drink Ticket” can be turned in at the bar for a refreshing glass. For those under twenty-one we’ll have a chilled bottle of water. The “Food Tear-Off Ticket” can be used for the special Pancake Breakfast in the Keizerfest Tent. There will be music and onsite live results to view
